Exclamation Please help with 1936 holster

I bought a 1936 Luger holster as a birthday gift for my boyfriend. I would like it if you guys can look at some pics and help me determine its authenticity. To me, it looks and feels authentic. It's in good condition but it has some obvious wear and some leather stretching. It also smells OLD. On the back, there is a faded manufacturer's stamp that says A Wunderlich Nache Berlin 1936.
I want to know:
1. Is it authentic?
2. Is it possible to tell what it was used for? Military/commercial
3. Can it be linked with a particular type of luger?

I'm absolutely knew to this. Pardon me if I sound ignorant. I paid $140. Was I ripped off?
Thanks!!!
