Ted,
Did you take some "before" pictures? Hopefully Mike will post some "after" photos.

I did not know that Robert Jennings had passed away. He had corsponded with me about his luger several years ago. Always a shame to hear of a fellow collector passing.

I have "before" and will have "after" by the weekend. I'll post them as soon as possible.

Ed, I do remember that Ted had requested prayer in the spring of last year for Robert Jennings in the General Discussion forum... and someone else whose name I do not remember.

Robert Jennings had been diagnosed with terminal cancer as I recall... He and I only had a couple of email exchanges during his time on our forum, but he came across as a heck of a nice guy...

Ted, it is good to see you posting again... welcome back my friend.

Ron, here are some reduced size pictures that show most of the distressed areas. The flat above the lanyard loop and the top of the rear toggle knobs also were repaired.
These came from pictures that Mike sent me before we started.

In reference to Robert Jennings, he will be missed for sure. I had the oppurtunity to talk to him at length when he discovered the bad news. I am grateful I got to speak to him about his life. I can tell you he was a very brave man and not the least bit did he express "why me?" He faced it with dignity and bravery I rarely see in this life. He really impressed me!

The Eagle has landed!
It's as if I sent it back in time to DWM. All the sanding and filing patterns match.
The rust blue is a perfect match. The straw on the takedown is a very light color to match the trigger.
Thank you Ted, your the best.
Mike C

Mike, glad you are happy with the Eagle. It just hurt me to see it in such sad shape in those bad spots. I appreciate the feedback.
