It has a rather liberally and sloppily applied non-oil finish, and I agree with you about the disk. Frankly, in the early 80's, when I was told by the proprietor of the Slaters Collectors Armory in Alexandria Virginia, that it was made my "Mauser", I couldn't believe it. My comment..."Mauser never made this thing". I may have been wrong about Mauser taking credit for it, but I doubt that it was made by German craftsmen in Oberndorf. Sieger |
