Hello All,
I have a 1950's era Bear cat .22 (non-converted) in about 90% condition in box with original papers. I thought I go out on the Fourth of July to shoot it a little with it's Big brother (also a 1950's non-converted) Ruger Single six .22, .22mag. Ok, this is the first time I have tried to shoot this gun before and I had a hard time getting the rounds into the chambers on the Bear cat. I used a bright bore lite to see what is wrong and about 1/16 of an inch or two into the breach of all the chambers looks like there is a ring??? that the rounds hang up on. This seems to be the only problem as the bores are prefect from the front and just pass the ring. I did not see this problem when I bought it(it was a very good price for $350). So, what can be done? Did someone shoot shorts or blanks in this gun you think? Is it save to shoot? It is a VERY NICE gun and I do not what to mess it up. Any help will be nice. Sorry for the long read GOD BLESS THE U.S.A. Michael
