Some guys keep buying "run of the mill" 1920's commercial lugers over at Simpsons in the $ 1100-1400 price range.

See the "holds" on a few this week :

Selling prices may not be the same as asking prices posted, though...

Having said that, there are Dwight-type bargains out there still. This 1920's commerical went for only
$ 805 in the past October 2006 James D. Julia auction :

Here was how they described it :

" *1920 COMMERCIAL DWM LUGER. Cal. 30 Luger. SN 8029i. Blue finish with 3-3/4â? tapered rnd bbl, fixed sights & full checkered walnut grips with one correct, unmarked, wood base magazine. Right side of receiver is marked â??GERMANYâ?. CONDITION: Fine to very fine, all matching except grips, bolt & toggle link which are unnumbered. Overall retains most of its orig factory blue with slight muzzle & sharp edge wear. Retains about 60% straw colors. Mechanics are fine, bright bore, pitted in grooves. Magazine shows surface staining. Grips are very fine. 4-58992 JR288 (500-1,000) "
