Thanks Frank, I have a 1939 and the grips are unnumbered, I was really worried because it is minty with two matching mags, mint original grips, paid $3000 came with minty holster and tool. Thats the most Ive ever paid for a luger I think. The condition of the rig and the two mags just made me do it. Im going to check my 1940 and see if the grips are numbered on that one, cant remember if they are numbered or proofed.
