Hi Lucky, welcome!! Yes, the wooden grips for both 41 and 42 byf Lugers should have the last two digits of the serial numbered stamped on the inside surface of the grips (just as Tracy said)!!!

The term "block" refers to the suffix letted stamped on the front of the frame. Each letter represents about 10,000 pistols or blocks of pistols (actually, numbers from 1 to 9,999). So a n-block refers to pistol serial numbers in the range from 1n to 9999n.
