I believe the barrel is period
. I would tend to go for Ed's upper value, but the lack of the sear safety does detract a bit.

Hello and thank you. Don Maus feels it is period done and gave me a very nice basic history line of the pistol. It definately raises the value of the pistol from what we had agreed on so I will make good to the other party.
