Post FFL

Hello,

How do I go about getting a license to buy a luger out of state without going threw a licensed dealer. My scenario is if someone has a luger but they do not a have license and I would like to buy it in state or out of state I think I need to either get a FFL? (not a curious and relics because that only allows between other licensees correct?)
what does it take to get a FFL and does anyone have a # of who to call and ask for what document? I have My Curious and Relics license. I am only looking to acquire lugers which fall under the Curious and Relics

Example: A lady has a pistol in California and I live in Delaware for me to by that pistol off of her. What license is necessary if she does not have any licenses and the gun was in house because her husband brought it back from the war ?

Orvis, your C&R is good for that transaction, the seller does not have to be licensed and it permits you to buy across state lines.

Thumbs up

Go to www.treasury.gov and then do a search on batf...everything you need is there.

Oh, FWIW, you do want a C&R because it is unlikely you can qualify for a Type 01 license. C&Rs can acquire from any legal source weapons that qualify as C&R. For non-C&R weapons, you still have to go through a Type 01.
