Re: sight
German gunsmiths tell me that the adjustable rear sights on the Parabellum have ever been all that successful. Werle (see links) has just fixed a rear sight with second screw running into the thread of the first. Mauser came out with a target Parabellum in the 70s but that had the same problem. I even found that some of the teeth on the adjustable rear sight on my LP 08 had broken off. They take quite considerable puinishment over the years. Patrick

Re: sight
Rick, I think the article that you recall was in the November 1971 issue of Shooting Times, in which Skeeter Skelton gives full details of how he installed the MMC sight on his shooter luger. This issue also introduced the Mauser 1970s Parabellum @$265 retail, and has Interarms ad showing one with an 8" tapered 7.65mm barrel. I'd be willing to send out copies of either article post paid, for a $5 copying fee. Tom H.

Re: sight
I loved his storied, especially about the model 27-5", but that was the picture that I posted that got me in such trouble! BUMMER, shame he is gone now as is Bob Milek, and Bill Jorden! Wonder if they have a shooting range in heaven?

I remember that article Tom, I think that Skeeter
cut a dovetail in the rear toggle to accomodate the MMC sight...

Re: rear adjustable sight
For another variation of adjustable rear sights see the picture of my "Armadillo Gun" posted on 4/10/01.
