My First Luger....
So I am new at collecting WWII military firearms.
I collect K98s and, hopefully, Lugers. I don't care about rebluing or getting new grips,(if necessary) I just want a Real, WWII Luger to add to my collection. Any suggestions about where to look other than my local gun show? What should I expect to pay for a Luger produced in the 30s and 40s in OKAY condition? $450-$1000? Can I find something like this-http://www.gunbroker.com/auction/ViewItem.asp?Item=8617431- for a little cheaper, or is it a good deal at $700? I hope you don't mind helping out a Luger Newbie, but any answers are appreciated -Thank You- |

Threepio1: The problem with an auction is that you have to rely upon the seller to be accurate and upfront with description, faults, etc. If it turns out that you want to return the purchase, you end up spending postage and possibly transfer fees 2 ways.
My suggestion: some of the people here also offer Lugers at fair and reasonable prices. If anyone offers, contact him/them and see what you can do. I have been helped by a couple of the guys here and appreciate their professionalism and expertise. Good luck in your search--and welcome to the board. |
