You are undergunned. YOu need a 600 Nitro Express double rifle for that kind of dangerous game!

Try the "Small Game Hunting Forum" at Saeed's site, www.accuratereloading.com, for more cat hunting discussions.

You allowed that "field lion" to get much to close. You'll be lucky to get off one good shot before it is on you.

Hugh, that's cute. I didn't care for kittens or cats until the last few years--but we now have a real affectionate one named "Webster". He spent the first 2 days with us hiding under the bed, not a tiger by any means.

A 600 Nitro is not required. Most professional hunters would consider a 375 H&H adequate for cats.

BTW: Is this the same cat somebody here posted a picture of sound asleep with his face in the food dish?
