Post The passing of Joachim G¶rtz

Ladies and Gentlemen,

I would like to formally announce to the Lugerforum that Herr Dieter Marschall, a P-38 expert and historian in his own right, has just advised us that Joachim G¶rtz, his personal friend, and one of the most knowledgable and foremost experts and authors on the history of the Luger pistol has passed away in Munich Germany.

His expertise will be sorely missed by the world's collectors and admirers of this pistol...

Thank you Herr Marschall for letting us know.

Though he never personally posted here on the new forum, members may be surprised to know that Herr G¶rtz was a registered member of the Lugerforum, and I would suspect that he frequently monitored our speculation and comments on the history and authenticity of Luger pistols with much interest...and at times I have no doubt, with a large smile...
