Post Jan Still's Site - Trouble Logging In

Is anyone else having a problem with accessing Jan Still's site? I log in and then the log-in window comes back up again. My name and password are correct so I guess my question is: Are they having problems again?

That did it. Apparently one or more of my Zone Alarm settings are causing a problem. Guess I need to do some maintenance. Sigh.........

Doubs, you can always e-mail me if you have a problem, I will be glad to tell you that your zone alarm is too high!

Seriously, since I moderate over there too, it is easy to help out.

That may be the problem that one of our new members from New Zealand is having on THIS forum. He has not yet responded to my latest attempt to help him get logged in but I will mention it to him in my next email.

Hi Guys....

Here's typically what I send out to folks that are having difficulty with their system not accepting "Cookies". Feel free to "Copy & Paste" if you know of someone having difficulty....

"Hi (whatever their First Name is .. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="wink.gif" /> )

Can you please try the following first? The LugerForum uses "Cookies" to remember your Login, what posts are new since your previous visit, what posts you have contributed to, your "preferences", etc.

Therefore please check that your browser is set to "Accept" cookies. You can find these in your "TOOLS" or "PREFERENCES" sections of your Browser settings. Also, some Browser's "PRIVACY" settings can block "Cookies", so turn them to "Normal" or "Default".

Some firewalls will block cookies as well - so if you have one (like Sygate, Norton, Tiny, Kerio, ICS, etc.), you can set those to accept "Cookies" from "trusted Domains" or allow a pass through. If you'd like to set it for just THIS Forum - simply add the Domain "lugerforum.com".

Best to you,

John Dunkle

Copied, thanks I'll use it for future requests! Although they might wonder why John Dunkle is writing them

Update: Until yesterday I haven't had a problem accessing either board and I was somewhat surprised to have the trouble I had last night. So, I uninstalled my ZoneAlarm Pro 4 program and re-installed it today. It does allow cookies to set and once in awhile I'll use Norton Utilities to clean all cookies from my system. This is really the first problem I've had with ZA.

So far, so good. Everything seems to be back to normal now.

Jan Still's forum seems to be down.
Anybody else have trouble with accessing it? Thanks!

Hi Ted -

I have been unable to get onto that forum today.
It is not a ZoneAlarm problem; I even tried turning my ZoneAlarm firewall off and attempting to log on with no success.

Hope the site has not been hacked . . . again.

Luke
