I am very disappointed that I cannot move my books from computer to computer. I purchased a new computer and had to repurchase all 5 of the Luger books.
Bummer!

Usually, registered owners of our ebooks get new passwords for free when they change their PC or upgrade their PC or are obliged to reformat their HD.

We are generally VERY open minded in that area.

But we also have to take into account the possible risks of illegal copies by not registered owners.

Gerard,

Sure sounds like a reasonable deal to me...most software companies do similar things...

Wes,

Maybe you should contact Gerard, off-line, and work out the specifics...if you were indeed a licensed Owner, it sounds like Gerard will accomodate you, maybe retro-actively...(?)...

Regards,

Pete... <img border="0" alt="[typing]" title="" src="graemlins/yltype.gif" />

...or maybe credit you for purchase of future e-books?

It would seem to me that the password method should allow for registration that the password has been used and therefore only one instance of that password could be used for an installation... thereby reducing the ability to pass on illegal copies... sort of the way Microsoft has required for their operating systems and software for the last year or so...

I had emailed them previous to re-downloading the e-books and they would not return an answer or acknowledgement.
I had no other choice but to repurchase.

Wes, I am sure Pete meant nothing by it and if he did, I will beat him about the ears with a Luger Lanyard... If we can find one...

{all tongue in cheek of course, I don't doubt Wes's honesty and I won't whack Pete very hard }

Hello Wes,

No slight, intended. My apologies...I should have used the word "since" and not "if"...

p.s.

Ed, I will gladly take a lanyard beating anytime, as long as I can keep the strap after you have had your way with me... <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="wink.gif" />

Regards,

Pete... <img border="0" alt="[typing]" title="" src="graemlins/yltype.gif" />
