Post .50 Caliber Rifle Ban California

Well it looks like Arnold is a Kennedy. He just signed AB50, which will ban .50 rifles. It appears that he's not any better than Gov. Davis

If an article that was in our local paper about a year ago is accurate, California can no longer host the summer olympics. It seems that their ban on some pistols includes semi-autos with the magazine in front of the trigger. Most top grade target pistols have that configuration.

I've always wondered about the Olympic shooting events vs. the firearms laws in the various host countries.

Anybody know anything on this subject?

In California all handguns must be "certified or safety" with the exception of Curios ana Relics, and few others. Pistols used for the Olympics are one of the exceptions.

The article that I read was about a young lady in California that had a good chance of making the US Olympic team except that she could not buy the pistol that she was used to using and the state would not make an exception. I never read anything further about it.

If anyone here knows of anyone in Cali that is interested in getting a .50 before the cutoff to legally own one have them check out a Serbu...Mark Serbu is gonna make it easy on them by splitting up the payments...they only need a $1000 now and they get the part they need to register with the state...they have up to a year to buy the rest of the rifle. I have a Serbu as well as a Armalite AR-50....the Serbu is a fine .50.
