Post Press requests info on Georg Luger

The official Lugerforum email address just received this email request for information on the designer of the Luger pistol, Georg Luger, for an upcoming article on him.
----message follows----

Date: Sat, 20 Dec 2003 17:31:03 +0100
Subject: Georg Luger
From: "Redaktion Andreas Hauser" <redaktion@echotirol.at> Add to Address Book
To: lugerforum@yahoo.com

To whom it may concern,
dear Luger-fans,

My name is Andreas Hauser and I'm a journalist writing forn an
Austrian
magazine in Innnsbruck/Tyrol called ECHO. At the moment I'm on a story
for
our next number (20.01.2004) about Georg Luger, who is quite unknown in
his
home country Tyrol. Thereby I'm asking you and the forum concerning
this man
for any kind of information (if possible in German), fotos (300 dpi,
20x30
cm) and other kind of material or a person dealing with Luger in
Austria,
Germany or Switzerland. And I would be delighted if you can pass this
over
to other members of your forum.

Yours sincerly

Andreas Hauser

John, did you send them the information we have here in "History of the Luger"? In addition, his birthday is March 6, 1849!!

Kind of an interesting aside....

In some of the circles I run around in, if a guy flies in from across the country to tell you something, everyone says, "Holy crap, that guy really knows his ****!"

If a guy from the next County tells you the same thing, everyone says, "Yeah right... that guy don't know ****!"

Distance = Knowledge

Just an occasional observation,
Jack

I have passed the request on the the folks at www.iwoe.at and asked them to pass some information on to the requestor.
IWOE are the Austrian gun rights organization and are very experienced in dealing with the press as they are often not very positive on guns.
