The largest German Luger parts dealer (http://www.cds-ehrenreich@asamnet.de) has just sent me two firing pins: the top pin is WWII Mauser and the second an East German (GDR) repro. The GRD repro is better designed and better manufactured. The Mauser pin is typical WWII and looks as if it was made by Ben Laden´s uncle on the North West Frontier. Both are tapered in the middle (is this to reduce friction?). Early DWM firing pins are cylindrical without the tapered waist. Ehrenreich offers to sift through their parts bins to match numbers for a fee of twenty marks (or maybe they just stamp unnumbered parts). Quite a few parts in their list are GDR repro: toggle links and sideplates etc.). I wish I could upload the list - but it doesn´t work. Patrick
