Thumbs up What Luger should I buy??

I want a WW2 luger, a collector gun.
I would like to buy a BFY42 Black wwidow.
But I am want opions on what to buy, how much to pay and who to purchase from?

When you're starting, I'd suggest you contact one of our more experienced collectors or one of the more reliable Luger specialists.

Just so you have a clue... for a byf42 Luger that is all matching numbers, That has never been refinished, without rust or pitting, you can expect to spend between $750 and $1400 depending on how much of the original finish remains, the condition of the barrel bore...and if there are any original accessories...

Admin Note: This price range is what I consider fair market value for a private sale... Dealer prices would be MUCH higher.

There are several byf 42 lugers on Simpsons list. Go to this link:

http://www.simpsonltd.com/

Then click on "Luger Room" followed by "Mauser Lugers" and scroll down the page.

You will find one with holster, two matching magazines and take-down tool listed for $2995 among the four shown.

I wish I could by it. It's difficult to be poor! :-))
