Checking several of the big box sporting goods stores find 7.65mm Luger ammo not on the shelves , now some of the gun stores will carry a few box’s . Now 9mm Luger is a different matter altogether tons of it available. Is 7.65mm really that rare that many do not bother to carry it?

yes and no - 7.65mm costs 2-4 times the cost of 9mm - there are millions of 9mm guns out there compared to 30 luger (7.65mm)
I have found 7.65mm for cheap and I have found it expensive - but not always found locally Last fall I bought a 7.65mm and it came with about 1400 rounds of ammo - so it comes up for sale every now and then. Ed |

Your best(cheapest) bet is to look online at "ammoseek".
Go with PPU 7,65 luger for best results, IMO.

If you are not a handloader, then go on line and, usually, one can find 30 Luger that has a good price if you purchase 500-1K rounds. If you are a shooter, purchasing 1-2 boxes at a time is sort of a pain.....and expensive.
