Default Frame markings

Can anyone ID the markings on my frame? The right side is marked with the letter "B" the left side is marked with 7 4 W. The frame does not have the stock lug. Is the frame a DWM or Mauser? Do you think the markings are acceptance stamps placed there by an inspector? Any help on this would be appreciated.

Ditto, and with relative certainty, made by DWM inspectors.

I agree. Pre 1914 DWM frame made without stock lug. All Mauser frame with have this lug, unless it has been removed. TH

Should be worker stamps and not inspector stamps. Inspector stamps would have a crown over the letters. Background of those stamps were the possibility to check who of the workers worked on the parts of the Luger.
