German Luger 1923? Police?

I can't find much on this after looking through a few books and searching the web. All the numbers match, including the magazines. Any info would help, thanks.

I can help - In ref to all matching? I saw you said it was, Does that include the small parts, interior such as hold open? I collect Simson lugers.

I see a Simson Luger that received a sear safety and mag safety (mag safety would have been pulled mid 1930's)

Small parts like grip screws, mag release will have just an eagle 6 and no number.

Do the grips have the entire 3 digit and does it have an 'a' suffix?

On the bottom of the stock lug (as if inserting a magazine, but look up at the bottom of the stock lug) - it should have eagle 6's on them

PSS: I talked to the folks who had this a few months ago - so looked at it before. I don't remember two matching mags? Can we see pictures of the mags, to include base and spine?

A police Simson is still pretty cool!

At least part of the magazine safety is still there. Although not necessarily correct, finding & restoring the whole magazine safety would be (to me) a worthwhile upgrade.

Also, I can see the rivet for the sear safety - but is the entire sear safety still intact???

I would leave the magazine safety alone. The sear safety is missing, and were usually removed only if it went into East German use or it got broken, which does happen.

Both magazines have been ground and new stamps put onto them. Could very well have been done by a police armory, but no one will know and collectors always assume it is done post-war. Not saying they are, but no one will ever know.
