Default 1918 Commercial DMW

I have markings I have just found on the underside base of the barrel, below the serial number. they are 8,82.

What do these number represent?

The diameter of the barrel bore, measured land-to-land. Common on military Lugers. Yours is the equivalent of "8.82 millimeters". Also commonly seen is 8,83

Hi Don, Welcome to the forum! What makes you think that your 1918 dated DWM Luger is commercial?
Regards, Norm

I missed the "commercial" designation in the title. sorry.
Don, Norme raises a good question, because generally those chamber dated DWM's are for the military.
I guess now is a good time for the tried, but true, line: We need to see some good photos...

OK, cannot figure out upload of photos from computer, forum discussion left me in the dark (old, computer confusing) So, DMW in script, 1918 top of receiver, all numbers but one match (side plate) walnut grips, pinned wood base with (I think) R stamp, shoulder stock cut, 598- serial #, good condition.

Until I get help on photos, best I can do.
