I have no idea what it is, but it isn't a magazine safety. It looks like the trigger is a Swiss wide trigger.

Not a mag safety, I have a cut one upstairs if you want me to take some pictures of it tomorrow.
Not a Luger part I recognize, maybe a part made that they guessed what they thought it was?

The items shown are both mag safeties, but I doubt that either are original. I have yet to see a luger that still had the original mag safety installed, but have seen several styles of repaired originals and new repros. TH
