Guys,
On Saturday nights, like tonight, the family enjoys playing board games for family night. No TV cell phones or video games. We just got the Frontgate Luxury edition of the classic game "Clue" and this is what one of the "Clue" card looks like for the revolver. Can you see why I have an issue with this? ![]() My 12 year old daughter called it out when she broke open the pack of cards ... gotta luv the kids who are trained right ![]() Mark |

Do the Brits still call all handguns "revolvers"?
They used to, and I think of Clue as a British game... |

They only have cards for the pieces now??? IIRC, one version of the game had a small revolver for the weapon; plus a candlestick, wrench...I forget the rest...
![]() I think I have the old game in the attic... ![]()

It has a semi-auto pistol as the small part for the game. The older "board" version has a revolver as the pistol and a revolver on the clue card.
No "clue" about this deluxe version and who made it but you would think for the diorama version and cost they would have it correct? Here is link to the very cool game from Amazon http://www.amazon.com/Winning-Soluti...pecial+edition |

A board game that's a hoot!
Found this by accident over 20 years ago. You can still find it cheap on ebay for $5 or so used. A fun game and even if you don't know the answers, you can win if you know your opponents well and bet correctly. Just remember to answer as a redneck would and you'll be fine. ![]() The playing pieces are shotgun shells, so there's no PC with this game. ![]()

In my part of the world the game is called Detective.
When I used to play it (in the 1980s) the revolver was Pepperbox. Nice, isn't? |
