firing pin
hi, i would ask for this strange mark on firing pin.
the number 4 seems marked two times or what? many thanks. |

Not too strange. Some people call this "tool bounce" or "double strike",
due to any number of factors, the stamping tool sometimes bounces when striking the work piece, leaving a "ghost" or "shadow" mark of the intended stamping. Last edited by alanint; 12-07-2014 at 08:33 PM. |

The number dies used are not the correct size for Mauser. TH
