Default Police Luger Magazine Safety

What does the magazine safety look like on police Lugers?

Look for one in the archives. It is a bent piece of spring steel, which went behind the trigger. Inserting a magazine pushed it out of the trigger's way and allowed the pistol to be fired. It was a poor design that didn't always work, so it was done away with.

Here's a photo of one that was deactivated by removing the portion that went behind the trigger.

Default Police Luger

Thanks for the responses and picture. I had a difficult time imaging what this looked like. I picked up a police Luger that was in pieces in a box and want to assemble. There is the large hole in the frame above the trigger and the cut in the flat above the left grip.

Default magazine Safety

I entered several different Police Luger Magazine Safety in the faq search bar. They all came up "No Match".

What would be the correct query?

Still comes up No Match. FAQ needs a lot of updating. Many pics are missing.
