What kind of stock is this, and is it real?

Hello guys this is my first post on this forum. I recently bought a luger, with this luger came a stock which was not originally belonging to this luger. I am curious which kind of stock this is. Does someone of you guys know?

My Finnish rifle stock came with a stock medallion like that...The attaching screw for the medallion is one I have never seen...The two-hole spanner-type fastening...And the 'twisted cross' is not necessarily a Nazi symbol...

What does the attaching iron look like???

Hi Ron, You are definitely not slow, I should have been more explicit. I believe this concoction to be the handiwork of a notorious faker of Luger accessories who hails from Minnesota.

Hi David, Thanks for those extra photos. I have to revise my opinion, I now think the stock itself may be genuine, but some of the markings are fake. I must confess I've never seen anything like it, it's not German, although it seems to have started life as a surplus LP08 stock, and it's not for the Finnish M23, as Ron suggested. Anyone have any ideas?

eBay is his "website"... and he preys on the uneducated who haven't done their research. He can seldom post anything for sale there that doesn't get reviewed here...

I haven't seen it all, not in over 50 years of looking at Lugers, but I have NEVER seen anything like the inletting on the back of this particular stock.

My comment above is meant to merely respond to the question regarding the notorious seller on ebay that was referred to by Norme.

I have no idea where the stock originated, or who might have modified it to its current configuration. It does appear that the inletting shown in the photo for the brass strap keeper is of a newer vintage than the original stock manufacturer's work.

Hi David, The Netherlands connection changes everything! What made me think the stock was fake was the Dutch style brass plate attached to the stock. Perhaps now one of our Dutch Luger collectors could figure out what this is.

why couldn't an item forged in the usa end up in europe? dhl and others deliver to europe everyday.

I think there are entirely too many doodads and modifications on this to be any attempt to forge an original item.
My gut says a legitimate example of SOMETHING.
