Default Friends and Family

Just looking at the responses to Howard (Policeluger).
As has been said by many we are a family. We always come together when someone is in need of help and comfort.
You have helped me when my daughter died and when my wife was found to have cancer.
Until you are personally involved in this type of situation you can not imagine what it means to have a group of people, you mostly know by name only, giving you prayers, encouragement and comfort. Not a big thing maybe to you but it is big to the recipient.
I thank you all for being, well , family. Bill

Bill, I feel a special bond to this forum - through thick and thin - nothing so heartrending for me, but when we had the housefire, killing two pets - it was devastating. The forum helped me get through it.

When we lost our friend Bill, Tom, Viggo and others, that were personal friends, the forum helped....

That some, maybe most, of the best people I would ever know in my life, would be found here?? Well, it's true... We are definitely family here..as Ed said, thru thick and thin... Best to you Bill, best to all...til...lat'r...GT...

A community comes together voluntarily, supports all it's members and holds a long "institutional" memory.

This is a community. I'm honored to be a member.

Bill,

I've just red all the answers sent to Howard, and believe me I've thought the same thing.
As perhaps you already know I'm still part of another two guns forums (I've always been a 1911 fanatic), but I don't think I've ever seen responses so prompt and heartly.
It's a pleasure to be part of this forum.

Kind regards.

Sergio
