Magazine mandrel and fixture plate...

Hi To all!! It's been 10+ years since I sold my short run of magazine straightening mandrels and fixture plates.. Has anyone used them?? And if so, what results, and what modifications did you make to them?? Just a throwback look at the past.. interested in the actual use of the tools...

I have both, both mint and both serial #1! But sad to say I have only used the mandrel...which worked to perfection! I have a couple of projects where the fixture plate wll come in handy, but at the rate I am going on my other projects and "honey do list", my heirs may be the first to use it. Oh well...

I use it too since more than 10 years perhaps : work very well , since I found other one from a french army armourer in different shape .

Hi to all, the fixture plate was a hardened plate to hold / rest / secure magazine tubes to for hammer necessary repair, or assembly disassembly operations... I use mine every day, but that's part of my job description...

I had the opportunity to score one of these beautiful sets way back when but I opted for the in house version..Gerald keeps his at his house and I send my mags to him! GREAT job on the last mag too GT..A matching Erfurt with a cracked and filled bottom all NEW again!

I 'missed' out on buying a set, either too slow or too broke

I think I would have used them at some point and i have owned many mags the last 12 years but likely not used them enough to have paid for them. LIke Jerry said, easier to trade or have fixed by GT

I have SN 7 and few spare mag parts. I have used it a number of times over the years, but not so much lately, as I have drifted away from Lugers and into Colt SAA's. I will consider selling it if anyone is interested; email me at hhclark@wildblue.net

I`m following the recommendation of a Mr. John Sabato ,whom you might be aware of . I have the great fortune of purchasing 2 walnut luger mag bottoms made for him by a dear friend of his that has passed on . Having just bought a Swiss 1900/06 WF with two mags I am hoping to have you install the bottoms , and refurbish the mags at the same time . May I PM you and discuss a couple other questions I have ?
