serial numbers
were can I find info on serial number for lugers,like what year pistol was made

It depends on what flavour of luger you need the serials for they are all broken into sections.

Imperial Lugers is out of print, but Jan still has copies of Central Powers
As said above, just a serial number won't help. Need maker, markings on top, sides, etc

Peter,
I believe members of the Forum could help you more if you simply told us what kind of Luger you are interested in researching. Here are some examples: Swiss Early and late Commercial types, export contracts, etc. German Military. This one is easy, the year of manufacture or Code is stamped on the top of the chamber. (with a few exceptions) Hope this helps. John |
