Question
Can a CA type 7 FFL (Manufacturer lic.) receive a C&R weapon from another State (MT) Type 3 FFL and then transfer it to a Type 03 CA resident. Bill

Just talked to a ATF employee at the BATF office in Santa Ana CA. He said yes it is 0k to ship a
C&R to a CA type 7 license. All handguns entering CA must go through a CA type 01 or 07 dealer. No 03 to 03. Bill

Just received a call from the CA Dept of Justice, who I had contacted via email a while back. He said they are more restrictive than the feds and generally cannot ship to ,a type 07 unless they are also licensed to sell. He said most CA 07's are not. No problem with a dealer 01. Bill
