Default Loading tool help

Just picked up a complete 1940/42 rig in the "a" block and this was the tool in the holster........ Can anybody identify it??? Also would the correct tool be an E/38 or E/655,being it is in the "a" block??? It came with a 1939 holster.
Thanks in advance.

I know virtually nothing about the proofs it should have, but given its shape/outline and finish (none) I think it is early or WWI.

front to back is best way to see how thick it is

looks good from pictures, would imagine the 200 is a police marking, thats what it usually is, unless its a regimental marking, but then I would expect something besides just a '200'

Thanks Guys, the rig is all matching including both magazines. and not in bad shape. I picked it up from the Vets nephew. who I have known for about twelve years now. He is still looking for the capture papers..

Is there something lightly struck on the opposite side from the "200". It looks like the vestiges of a "0" there and maybe something more?

With the bigger ridge (dictionary) in the hole it is Reichswehr (Weimar) time.
