Anyone know how many G dated Lugers marked with W154 were Made? Were these issued to Police or Military?

G date Police guns are not found with police markings. originally they were first acquired by the army, and g dates were not stamped with special acceptance. you do see them, but it is uncommon although they are found with sear safeties.

My G Date has W154 w/military drop eagle mark, ser#2322b.

From:http://phoenixinvestmentarms.com/His...datepolice.htm

In 1934 Mauser got it's first Military P-08 contract from the German Government. So was born the first military Mauser Luger, the "K" date of which it was estimated 10,900 were made. These were the 1934 production designation "K".

Beginning in 1935 Mauser began by marking the guns with the "G". From the "G" series beginning approximately with 930a to 5000f, (in blocks of 10,000) for approximately 54,700 guns, 700 were pulled out for the German Kriegsmarine and so marked.

G DATE VARIATIONS

W154-S92 ETPon right receiver, found in the approximate 7000a-723d serial range with overlap. (Note: 269d DE211 S92.) Estimated production 23,000.
Based on reported variations all these went to the Army. However ; 3340b W154--S92 has two matched Police magazines, but no sear safety?

based on these photos in this link provided by NonCommretired (thanks!) http://phoenixinvestmentarms.com/His...datepolice.htm
The luger has a sear safety all numbers match. So it could in fact be a police issued rather than army?
