From Krausewerke in California, at $15k+ a copy, a modern, but EXCELLENT reproduction of the famed 45 Luger. Krause also makes the 32 ACP (or 7.65m/m Browning) Luger that he copied from the one Ralph Shattuck owns. ~Thor~

I am in -total- awe! So, do I understand that this is a ground-up construction, rather than built up like John Marz's twofer-one?

Also, unless I am mistaken, it looks like its a real shooter, doesn't spend all its life hanging on the wall. If so, very good.

Dwight, Ron has kept this particular Luger pristine and not shot it. But Krause makes them and I am sure would make one for you for around $15,000. It is an exact copy of the .45 Luger from the Luger tests in the early 1900's.

Very cool, and like GT said, it felt good in the hand, better in mine of course,

Default Trigger is wrong shape

The 1905/6 test .45 Luger has a very distinctive "hook"

to the trigger shape. The other KrauseWerk .45s I've

seen have this as well.

However, for $15,000 I would hope you could get any shape

trigger you want.

Hi Mike! The one that Ron owns, also has the distinct hooked trigger, why it doesn't show in the picture is a mystery to me? The hooked trigger is necessary because of the increased span across the grip panel for the .45 cal...It feels just absolutely great in the hand, much better,IMO, then a regular P.08! The pistol Ron owns is an exact replica of the original....and I mean exact! How it got into his collection, instead of mine, is still being investigated??? till....later....G.T.

"How it got into his collection, instead of mine"?

GT, it might have something to do with all those "0"'s after the $15??????
