I have 2 CZMod 27 pistols. There is a big differance in serial numbers, 52XXX against 323XXX. The lower number has a true blue finish the other almost phosfate on the lower and plum blue on the upper.
The lower number has Pist Mod 27 Kal 7.65 on the right hand side of the slide as well as the serial number on the lower. The other one has an fnh in front of the Pis Mod line and no serail number on that side.. The lower nubered one has Bomhmische Waff AG in Prag and the serial number on the top of the slide, the other only the serial number. Aslo the rear of the slide is rounder near the hammer than the other. Both have serial numbers on the front right hand side of the frame as well as a eagle /swastica on the barrel. I am guessing these were just cutbacks to simplify things. as the war went on. Both has Waffenstamps on the frame left rear. I am looking at a broomahandle and need to get some money so I was thinkng of selling one of these. Is either worth more or rarer than the other. Basically is there one I should definatly keep over the other. Aslo can anyone tell me what the fnh means Thanks |

I would keep the early hi polished blue example, there are fewer of these available. As with anything else during the war, the longer it went on the lower quality fit and finish you see.
fnh is the maker code for cz. |

The phosphate ones have been bringing high prices latley, the FNH was the designated manufactuerer code they switched to.

Personally, I absolutely love the old CZ's. I have several... but I don't have a 27! How do they shoot? I use a vz 50 as my carry and would love to have a comparison. Are you still thinking about selling? I know I am trying to get rig of a few guns.. but does switching them out for smaller ones count?
