I'm new to the board. Just got my first Luger a DWM commercial. The right grip was loose. Both were dirty. Cleaned the grips with stripper and acetone. Now they look much better. The right grip was still loose. Saw people talking about o rings and epoxy.
The fix was very simple. Like taking a dent out of wood. Took a moist paper towel and my wife's steam iron. Heated the iron to cotton setting. Then placed the moist towel across the top edge of the grip. Steamed for 15-20 seconds, no pressing down just touching the paper enough to hear the steam. I allowed the grip to cool and tested the fit. Perfect fit no movement. You may want to try this before breaking out the epoxy. |
