Hello guys
I just bought a double stamped Erfurt Luger 1918 1920 ser# 7996d on the grip strap it has S ME II R 31 .640 the R AND 31 are X'd out. Anyone know the meaning of this? Thanks |

It sounds like a military luger that went into the police.
Pictures would solve the question most likely, full right, full left and of the gripstrap. Ed

nice, decent Erfurt
The sear safety is missing, which is a shame, you can find them, but they are not too easy to find The 1920 would have been applied around the 1920 time period (not a true date, but a gov't stamping) Ed (PS, I merged your new posting to this thread)

It is not a real Erfurt. The receiver came from a 1917 or 18 dated DWM LP08.
