They varied from theater to theater. The ones I most commonly see are from the ETO and are a little larger than a post card, printed on cheap, brownish paper. They have a large seal printed on one end and the areas to fill out information on the weapon to be authorized for keeping and then an area for the Commanding or responsible officer to sign in the lower right hand side. I'm sure someone will post images of the various examples out there.

Hi,
Thanks for the response. A friend gave me his Dad's bring back as his wife won't allow guns in the house. He has most of his Dad's papers including a journal he kept during the war in Europe. I didn't ask to go thru the papers but thought if I showed his a typical copy he would be willing to look for it. I once saw a pistol offered with the bring back paper on this site. It was some time ago and I thought I could save the searching. Aldo35 |

Hi,
I was able to find a document included in a thread dated 10-14-2011 from bandit09. Now I have to figure out how to print it. Aldo35 |
