Default Holster find 1917 artillary???

I did a little scouting around today and found this holster with a 1917 dwm artie in 9mm. There are no stamps on it, or dates that i can find, over all it's in pretty good condition but the very bottom where the barrel goes is damaged. It'ds a package with the pistol but i wanted to post here to.

Padre,

As Ron said on your topic about the pistol, this is a holster for the French Saint Etičnne Modele 1892 revolver. It is what is called "old model" pattern. This one was modified (enlarged barrel section) in order to fit the LP08 pistol.

Here is mine Franch holster, with an old battle horse, a kind of "Luger nemesis" of the WWI trench warfare.

Some photos of the very rare Spahis (Africa Troops) revolver mod. 1892 holster, and of the Spahis revolver mod. 1873 holster. Both are of reddish and textured leather. From my collection.
