He's been on this forum quite a bit lately so I'm sure he will be getting your message soon.

Yes...Eugene is a new member here...

He seems to have somewhat optimistic shipping times...

Do a Search here; there are some threads with very nice pictures...

One wild guess on this.....

Maybe he's selling the "future", just like in commodity market, people could sell things that they don't have, legally

Luckily, it's $151 for parts. If it were $1500 for a gun, or $15000 for .45ACP,,,,,, how can buyer sleep well at night?

Im not trying to slam lugerman.com. I just wanted to know if he was legit. I googled him on the web and got concerned when more than one person had issues.

Im not getting a restoration, all Im getting is one part that fits in a small padded envelope that can ba shipped on the way to the grocery store. Not asking for much!

OK, I'm not trying to defend Lugerman...but by being on the phone, on the PC, chasing down parts & tooling, mailing packages...You're not doing your primary job; i.e --> restoring weapons...

And that's not even including personal/Real Life issues...Like groceries, work [real life job], and time with family...

I was caught up in my hobby and after a while it turned into 'work'...I no longer got any enjoyment/satisfaction out of it...And my "spare time" had disappeared...And my own projects started piling up...So I stopped working for other people...And now I can get in a few hours each week on my own interests...

Yes, it's reprehensible that Eugene takes so long...but if you've looked at the pics of his work, it's understandable...

Hopefully he'll get your part(s) out to you ASAP...

... $.02 ...

The buyer is not asking for a restoration, he wants the part he paid for, thats all. Cashed his check on 2/6 and still no parts. Seems no matter what lugerman has problems with making delivery and returning emails or even answering phone calls. Since 1999 i have sold gun parts on ebay. I get paid , i will uasly have the part ready to ship and it goes out the next day in the mail. It;s not that hard. Yes restorations do take time and you keep your customer posted. Or like you said you stop taking in work. Unless this guy has gotten ill , doesn't take nearly a month to package a small part and put it in the mail. A 151.00 is not a small amount, no one wants to lose money or needs to. If he were selling on ebay, he would have negatives out the window. He could make a ton of money with luger parts on ebay, but you are rated on each transaction there. In fact you use paypal, do not ship and your account will get locked up, as it should be. The buyer here just wants the part he paid for, thats it. Ship it or give him a good reason or return his money. thats my .02 thanks Padre

I agree with padredan. If the seller had time to rush to bank to deposit the paycheck and did not feel that's boring, then, I would assume he also had the time to ship the item out, or, at least had time to compose an email to buyer explain what's the difficulty.

Restorations and custom Lugers (and others) is what Eugene does for his bread & butter...

...And I said I wasn't trying to defend him...

You want to dump on him; by all means, dump away...

I personally know a respected member of ARFCOM who was just swamped by orders/requests/work and finally had a breakdown...He got a lot of flak by disgruntled 'customers' and finally quit taking orders...

Yep, stiffing customers is deplorable...But it's a small field of endeavor, and there's The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly...

You can decide which Eugene is...

Eugene seems like a fine fellow... but in a small business.. actions are what count. Doing what you say you will do or contacting a client to explain why not and if need be give him back his money so he can explore other venues.
I agree with the above posters..it is SO easy to prepare a small item and get it sent right out. If you are not able to accomplish these simple tasks then you are in way over your head and deserve whatever bad press comes your way. People SHOULD avoid you if your service is so poor that dissatisfied clients take the time and trouble to expose your shoddy practices in public.
As a small businessman I realize how important my reputation is and I guard it with every resource at my disposal. It only takes a small shadow cast over your good name to cause a chill you may not recover from.

Hopefully you will get your parts eventually and learned a lesson on who not to do business with.

People who do not keep their word should be avoided for future business transactions of any kind.

Funny how Eugene jumps right in when the discussion is pie-in-the-sky projects like the .45 ACP, but is nowhere in sight when it comes to concrete issues of customer service.

I can only hope he is really busy elsewhere.

Yes, it would be interesting to hear *both* sides of the story...

Perhaps a bit drastic. A month is a very long time to take to ship a small part, it just seems lugerman doesn't seem to be able to handel some of the tasks, like shipping and meeting deadlines. Mr Tinker had to step in on one of the forum's and correct some of his actions. Perhaps he may not understand how this forum works?I to am sure not taking a defensive position for lugerman, but name calling , even if a joking matter is not called for either. We do not know what the circumstances of lugerman maybe something out of his control. Lets hold off on the hanging tree for now. Beyond that lugerman probably has pretty much destroyed his creadablity with us. just my .02, thanks Padre
