Default Not a luger but found with a luger

I bought this a BYF 41 luger about 9 months ago and this P.38 was also in the deal well, I finally scrounged up the cash for the P.38 and got it today,

Both pistols are from the Grandson of the vet who brought them home.

If I'm not mistaken, that "ac" code on the P 38 would indicate that it is of Walther production.

Yes, "ac" is the Walther code, "42" is the production year = 1942.
This P38 seems to be in very good condition. You did a nice score.

Try to gather as much information as possible about the veteran. Documents, pictures, etc. are also welcome. Doing so, you preserve part of its story that otherwise will be lost.

Douglas.

I am sorry I mean the "AC" Code is walther not the "A" Code. I am in the process of rounding up the photos (or at least copies) The dog tags and a notarized letter from the seller as we speak.

Very nice matching P-38. Looks like your original mag is in great shape too. What's the WaA stamp on it?
