Where to Buy Un-numbered fxo P08 Mags?
Some of you have said that my P08 byf 41 (no suffix) would be most correct with "un-numbered" aluminum bottomed "fxo" "37" magazines. All I see at auction are the numbered and suffixed ones. Where or who can I source the un-numbered ones from?
Thank you all as usual for your help to this Newbie! |

Steven, I have three such mags. I have been squirreling away unnumbered Third Reich magazines for some time. I like to keep them out of the hands of people who will number them. I will sell you one but it won't be cheap. What is the pistol you intend to put it with?

I have a byf 41, no suffix. I have bought a cxb 41 black holster and have a E/135 tool coming. I would like to have two correct magazines to complete my Luger. If you will part with an unmarked magazine (fxo 37) what kind of money will you require?

Unnumbered mag
i also have an unnumbered aluminum bottom magazine.
There is a small "42" on the bottom indicating it is an armorers replacement "correct" part. Never seen one for sale either. Would trade mine for the correct mag for my byf 41 4553U if you happen to have it? Story I heard was when these arms were surrendered the pistols went in one pile the mags in another. No matches. Good luck. Bob |

Bob, that is essentially true, I have heard the story from vets enough that I know it is true, in addition guns that were captured may or may not have a matching magazine, in war time, if your magazine gets lost or damaged, you aren't likely to get it renumbered to match...
A un-numbered magazine is seen in several variations, all depending on when made; you see un-numbered Erfurt and DWM wood bottomed (and remember that DWM commercials weren't numbered), then later the 42, S42 and eagle 655 unnumbered; I have had some of each and they sell well, I assume for the purposes that Geo said above.
