Default Snail Drum Dust Cover and Machine Gun Adapter

Hello everyone:

What would be a fair price for a dust cover and machine gun adapter for a snail drum magazine? A friend wants to sell me these parts for my artillery, but his price sounds high. I can't find any of these for sale by themselves on gunbroker or from internet dealers for comparison.

Thanks,

Doug

Doug, you just answered your own question 'you can't find them anywhere"

What price is he asking, and we can tell you if it is out of line?

I have bought and sold them for $100-$150 or so.

Hi Doug, I recently paid $300.00 for an AEG marked dust cover, but you could probably get an unmarked one for less. I can't help you on the adapter. Best regards, Norm

$100-150 for a common dust cover. More for well marked, pristine or rare.(AEG).

Hard to say on a MG adaptor. They are really useless for an Artillery rig. If you have an MP18 that's a different story. I wouldn't waste your money buying a MG adaptor.

I would say $150 to $175 for a common dust cover. AEG dust covers are rare and would go for
$300 to $400.Machine gun adapters around $100 to $125.

It also depends on condition, which is everything.

Thanks for helping me. I was thinking about the same value.

He was asking $200 for each item, but confessed to me has wasn't really sure what they were worth. I told him I thought he was too high and would check with the boys on the lugerforum for a better approximation. I looked at them briefly, but put them down when he told me what he was asking. I have doubt they are geniune, but I don't recall if there were proof marks or not.

Thanks again,

Doug

Doug, Well..you can save $200 right off. Don't buy the MG adaptor. I am a tad confused though... you doubt they are authentic?

Take some pictures if you doubt whether they are real or not, post them here and you will get the straight skinny before you spend your money.

Doug..If you have your sights set on a snail drum dust cover..offer your Friend $150. Fair for you both IMO.

Be aware there are two styles, the early and the later. I don't think it makes a difference, unless you are anal.

..You are beginning to sound a lot like a Fatkat I know! You had better go on and explain to Doug what he should look for...
