Default Is this an Luger?

Hello!

Last week i found with magnetfishing a frame of a Luger. (unfortunately missing some things) On a spot that I did not expect.

After a week in the Vinegar some detail came above

Today started with some cleaning.

Unfortunately, the spring has gone in some parts

But I started to doubt. Some parts I have not seen on other photos on the Internet of the Luger (metal coulored, like gold cube) And there is no hole or something where a trigger should supposed to be.

So now my question. Is it a real or a replica Luger P08? And if this is real, were shoud the trigger been mounted? Because there isnt a hole or something. I am now very curious.

Thanks allot!

Greetings from The Netherlands

This does appear to be an authentic Luger frame and it appears that the exterior part of the trigger has rusted away leaving the part which mates with the frame in place. This makes it appear that there is no place for a trigger to be installed.
If you brush this area well with a metal brush you will probably discover the separation line between trigger and frame in there.
That being said, there are features of your frame that do not look right. Is it magnetic? If not, then it may be a replica frame.

There are two seams running up each side of the round part of the frame, just below where a frame serial number would normaly go. This indicates some sort of replica or toy.

It looks like if the Luger been used. At the top part are some scratch visible. Its possible when i clean it a bit more, that there are some numbers visible. Now it is at some places a little bit rusty at some places of the Luger

It looks like the frame of a replica. The connecting link is not what it is supposed to be, and other parts of the frame are also 'off'. The frame shows traces of a black, enamel type, paint. The stock lug is non-functional (no slots cutted). The main spring doesn't look like the real thing either.

Since replicas are also illegal in the Netherlands, it is not that surprising to find them dumped somewhere.
Possibly a blank-firing replica (they are legal to purchase just across the border in Germany).
