Default Help with a pre-war p35 purchase?

Looking at buying this pre-war P35 "Hi Power" and have some questions....

First off, is this really a pre war? It's got the BROWNING PATENT DEPOSE on the slide which gives me doubts, though I know his involvement dates back as far as the early 20's.

Here are the pics, I've got roughly 2 hours to decide if I want it.

It's advertised as a pre-war P35 with original buttstock/holster. I'm really stepping up money wise to buy it, so I would feel better about it if some of you more knowledgeable guys could chime in and let me know your honest opinion.

Basically, is it the real deal? Does the buttstock look original? Is there a way to tell, or proof marks to look for?
