Hi to all, I just found this site. I have my Dad's Lugar that he brought back from WWll. He was in the 3rd armored division with Gen. Patton. He told me he took the Lugar off a German officer they captured along with a sword. He also sent some Mauser rifles back, most were 98s but the one I have is different than the 98s and I do not know what it is. It is cocked on closing and it is an 8mm. He used it to deer hunt and never had another rifle. He killed Elk, mule deer and whitetails with it.
I am glad I found this site. Maybe I can learn something here.

Post pictures of what you have. Did he keep the bring back papers for the P-08?

He did not have any papers that I knew about. I will post some pictures.
