Could someone help identify this holster?
It's a soft shell holster. A pocket for a mag on the front of the holster. inside the holster is a pocket for a cleaning rod. The flap has two slits cut into it to allow the the metal clasp and leather strap to be closed in 2 different positions. The two slits look original or were down a very long time ago. the square flap of leather on the back side of the holster, when flipped over has 3 very faint letters about 1/2 high very lightly pressed into it. They look like they were made by a die but could be a very steady free hand as well. hard to tell. the 3 letters are: K B S. I'm thinking post-war Norwegian for a P-38, but I am only guessing here. more of a gut feel that I have seen this holster some where a long time ago. What's the purpose of the back flap being split and having a D ring installed? Thanks in advance! |

Never mind. Someone helped me out. It's French post war. It is for the MAS 1950 9mm pistol. It may have also been used by the French for the Walther P38's as well.

Looks like the mag pouch is for a hi cap. Possibly M A B P15.

I just educated myself. An apology to all. looks correct for MAS 1950. I really didn't know such a beast existed. Best to all,
