Cleaning Straw
I just bought my first Luger an alphabet commercial. It has original finish and straw. It is not 100%. I would like to clean it up a little bit. Is there anything I should avoid on the strawed parts? I was just thinking about a good scrubbing with breakfree or something like that. I don't want to ruin anything.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions or comments. Randy |

Randy, just about anything you might want to do to "clean up the straw" will probably remove the straw color. The straw is really a very shallow heat treated color and can be easily removed. I'm not aware of any polishes or cleaners that will remove the usual black oxidation from a strawed part. I personally would just leave it alone.
