Default New Luger owner

Good day
Just aqquired my first Luger, it's a long barrelled pistol with no artillery sight and appears to have been reconditioned. Over the barrel hood is "1936" On the toggle is S42 and by the safety there is "Gesichert"
On the barrel it says "Bohler Stal made in austria"
serial # 9870
parts appeared to be mixed going by the numbers.
Came with 3 mags and a Wire stock. I bought the gun as a shooter. I will shoot it this weekend and look forward to getting my C96 working and being able to shoot these guns side by side. I have no doubt I will be asking you guys lots of questions. Look forward to chatting with you guys.

No problem. Our interest is not narrow. Collectable is welcome, and shooter is welcome as well. Those long barrel pistols, regardless being factory or modified, do not balance well unless a stock is attached. Find a stock attaching to it shooting in Carbine mode will bring in some fun.

Just back from the range, very pleased with the gun. Accurate and fun to shoot. The trigger is quite light.

Pictures would be nice.
I really like seeing honest guns, be they all original or not.

Will get pics up later today. I found the after market mags hard to load anymore than 5 rds into.
